Research Partnerships

We are delighted to be working proactively with researchers and universities across England on a range of projects designed to support education and SEND.

Current partnerships as at September 2025:

Birmingham Newman University

Current Projects:

  • CEO contributing to undergraduate and Masters level programmes in SEND and inclusion through conferences and Q&A sessions

       

University of East London

Current Projects:

  • CEO acting as Lead Expert for collaborative project with UEL and the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan
  • Liberty hosted a visit from educators from Uzbekistan to showcase inclusive practice
  • Liberty acted as contributor for the Festival of Inclusion
  • UEL is providing support for academic writing
  • In addition, 2 Colleagues are undertaking their Doctorate (EdD) through UEL, with a focus on research in autism   

             

University of Chichester

Current Projects:

  • Phase 1: Clem Burke Drumming Project with Year 8 at Thames Valley School
  • Phase 2: Clem Burke Drumming Project with Year 7 at Vanguard School
  • Phase 3: Clem Burke Drumming Project with Year 8 at Church Lawton School

       

University of Reading

Current Projects:

  • Thames Valley School hosting teacher trainees

University of Warwick

Current Projects:

  • Colleagues across the Trust are being fully-funded to complete their Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Professional Education, with all research focused on autism practice
